What a conference! Last week we attended WBENC’s Women in Business National Conference and Business Fair (WIB2010) in Baltimore, Maryland, and had the opportunity to meet and network with more than 200 of the nation’s largest corporations’ procurement and supplier diversity executives. Many thanks to headliners Sheila Johnson, Robin Roberts and Suzy Welch, as well as everyone in attendance, for making this conference a success!
We learned some important statistics on Return-On-Investment (ROI) in regards to increasing profitability through marketing to women and women-owned businesses. We also participated in stimulating breakouts that educated corporate partners on leveraging key messages to increase their company’s market share with women and women business owners, then translating those lessons into their supplier diversity programs to maximize diverse spend with women-owned businesses.
