KM_48HoursinSt.Louis<1></1>

We decided to take a twist of our popular travel series instead keep this edition local for a quarantine style staycation in St. Louis. St. Louis holds a special place in our hearts as it plays home to our KellyMitchell headquarters. Just because we’re sheltering in place doesn’t mean it has to limit us making the most of our city. It just means we have to take a few extra precautions to keep ourselves and our communities safe. So here’s our take on a weekend staycation in St. Louis during Covid-19.

Friday

5:00 PM – Arrange a virtual happy hour with your coworkers

There is no better way to unwind from the work week than sitting back, having a couple drinks, and laughing with friends. To really spice up your happy hour, grab a specialty margarita from Mission Taco Joint for the occasion. Mission Taco is now offering their delicious house made margaritas to go. They offer several options to choose from that are sure to get you in the best happy hour spirits. You can even use Houseparty’s built in games if you want to liven up the happy hour a little more!

7:00 – Try A New Dinner Recipe

The extra time at home is a great chance to brush up on your culinary skills and attempt to make the delicious recipe that keeps popping up on your Pinterest page. If you have a new cooking method you haven’t quite mastered yet, like your instant pot or air fryer, find a recipe that utilizes one of these. For those true beginners, make your culinary adventure as easy as possible and allow you to stay away from the grocery store, Pastaria in Clayton has rolled out their Pasta kits for two. This kit can be picked up directly from the restaurant in Clayton MO. The restaurant is also offering take and bake pan pizzas, lasagna, and more. There is nothing quite as satisfying as taking a meal all the way from its raw ingredients to the table.

8:30 – Watch a Movie with your Quarantine Buddy

After dinner, change into your comfiest clothes, maybe a super soft #314together tee, grab the blankets, and unwind by watching a movie with your quarantine partner or with friends remotely using Netflix Party.
